The all-around revision of the IT systems is less common in Hungary; a specifically stagnating trend can be experienced on this field compared to developed countries. The main reason for that is the low number of qualified professionals, the lack of internal demand in organizations, and the fact that in many cases of limited financial options the IT audit is pushed into the background beyond development and operation.

Nevertheless, organizations have to achieve the protection of data’s confidentiality, authenticity, integrity, and also to secure the functionality and availability of data and data managing systems through the security screening of IT and related systems.

Professionals at GSS Hungary Ltd. - having up-to-date IT knowledge - are monitoring not just the IT system but every part of the organization, which can be associated with data processing and process control systems, in the aspect of security.

As an independent monitoring company, we have a complex task: we are objectively reviewing the current status of the requirements and operations of IT systems as an outside observer, parallel with auditing and evaluating the IT systems’ security and quality level. After that, technical proposals will be taken aiming a higher security level by the correction and development of data protection software and systems, while observing the internal IT safety-monitoring activities of the organization during the entire study period.

In our opinion, the users’ confidence in the protection and safety of the system, and also the accurate knowledge of the structure’s security level has an outstanding importance. To all these, such available standards are needed, by which the safety capabilities of the proposed or operated system, or rather the operated or being purchased IT products can be comparable.
